    Another great video. Just a question. Does your hand stay closed during the release like a drive or does it open?

    I'm regularly hitting 200, but further than that, and consistency have been an issue. I found this SUPER helpful. I've been seeing both sides of the too lose and too tight spectrum, and this really clicked for me. I need some field time so I can work on grip modulation. Great content.

    I thought you guys were just trying to move product, but after trying the peppermint I’m a believer. It’s a Jarn OS and it’s perfect for all the people who love mid to shallow rim approach discs.

    #7 pushing. how to fix it? you should be engaging them hips to get the whip around instead of forcing it forward with your shoulder

    I try to do this at least once a month. My bag doesn’t stay consistent and my backhand is still developing, so I have to make updates regularly.

  • @JimJohnMarks
    @JimJohnMarks 4 дня назад

    Amazing how people’s approach to a bag can be so different. A 4 2 0 4 sounds about as useful to me as SL’s infamous Tilt. But then, I don’t carry 20 distinct molds. I’m amazed something as slow as a 4 which is as over stable as 0 4 can actually have a glide of 2.

    My favorite thing about this video is the growth mentality. You have to suck first before you get better. It's frustrating but more rewarding when you actually nail it. There is no overnight fix.

  • @fishblade2

    Whenever I try to aim directly on my line with my feet and arm I throw perfectly 45 degrees right every time. After months even if working on not rotating and my latest video recording I found I wasn’t and power pocket was being hit, I still pull 45 degrees right and beautifully straight. Is there a reason for this? I am mentally thinking I set my body up on the coil to pull the disc absolutely straight through but it doesn’t happen that way even when I keep shoulders and head yes. Should I aim at an 11 mark and or aim directly at my target and throw out? I don’t know which one.

    What plastic was this disc in?

  • @marion1600
    @marion1600 7 дней назад

    I agree and the pivot point makes a lot of sense in physics terms but if I don't hold it tight and firm I get early release since I try to pull through as quick as I literally can and disc would just slip out of my hand

  • @kramerbookman512

    Makes you wonder how many great disc golfers got ruined by coaches teaching trailing arm mechanics, and whether the pros are just the ones who instinctually didnt listen. 😅. Great video. Ive been getting a decent amount of of whoosh/snap from the towel drill with my current form but after watching this I got an actual crack for the first time.

    Dakota crushing it with the arm speed. I like a low-glide beefy disk. Your format for disc reviews is pretty money. I appreciate the flight path trace and radar. I think this would be a good tween disc to consolidate 2 discs from my bag.

    According to the pdga, the zone is actually shallower than the peppermint by .1 cm. It is taller by .3 cm though. Could be why it feels that way since it takes up more space in the hand.

    • @eoghana315
      @eoghana315 8 дней назад

      A2 is really shallow. The Peppermint is really similar to the Järn except the 'mint has a normal, squared off rim and the Järn has the opposite of a plus rim where the inside rim leans inward a bit. Both are great discs and feel a little less chonky than the Zone.

    I really like the use case section and the way you explained the rationale behind the disc selection! I think it would be cool if you guys did something similar with a variety of shots, player skill levels, and discs. Maybe a dedicated series for disc selection for certain shots.

    I’ve watched this before but today on the course struggling to hit my normal max of 275ft I got frustrated and started going through this series again. I just realized I never actually tried the grip lock & feel the disc rotate out of your hand so I went and tried it and… man I’m getting a ton more spin now. What a drill to get the feel and really focus on grip! I can’t wait to go throw full force again to see the impact. Thank you Josh!!
